Skype Phone in UK by Three

Net is awash with reports that mobile provider Three will team up with Skype to develop and deliver a Skype phone in the U.K. that will allow free phone calls without all that hassles of turning on the computer, installing special software or headsets and setting up new accounts.
Skype is already available on some niche X Series 3 phones, for which customers pay an advance subscription, but the new deal would see the VoIP service offered across 3's entire range of handsets.
Three still hasn't officially confirmed the partnership. A spokesman said: "The move marks a radical step forward in operator thinking and will mobilise internet calls for a mass market. It will also close the gap between internet communications and mobile calling and is something you won't see from any other operator."
According to the online version of The Times (U.K.) , For Skype, extending its brand into the booming mobile market could help to revive its faltering growth.
Google, the internet search giant, is also poised for an attack on the sector with the development of an entire operating system for mobile handsets. The group aims to replicate its runaway success online in the mobile phone industry, seizing a share of the potential multibillion-dollar mobile advertising market.
