Devicescape has addressed the problem of:
"Can’t connect at hotspots that require authentication."
Pretty cool sitting at Starbucks (tmobile) with my WIP300 making cheap international calls. If you live in Mountain View (Google WiFi) you are even luckier and have city wide coverage.
Using free beta software from Devicescape you can upgrade your WIP300 so that it can connect at a number of hotspots. Currently, T-Mobile USA, FON and Google's Mountain View network, with more on the way.
If you're happy using beta software, we'd love to hear your feedback on the service, as well as suggestions for new networks and devices we should support.
