TrixBox 2.0 Beta 2 is released, Asterisk-Based VOIP Phone System

The trixbox team is happy to announce the immediate availability of trixbox 2.0 beta 2. Trixbox 2.0 is designed to give users the choice of what they want in their system. From a minimal installation to a fully loaded system packed with features, system administrators can now easily customize their systems to fit their needs.

This release marks the second major milestone in the development of the new trixbox 2.0. This new version is now feature-complete and the development team is using this public release to flush out any potential problems. Some of the features of trixbox 2.0 include:


* Package manager to allow simple install/uninstall/upgrade of components
* Ability to choose beta components to test out
* Multiple language support
* Current versions of Asterisk and related components
* FreePBX 2.2 RC1
* Added support for Rhino PCI cards
* Module system for extending the trixbox interface


There is currently no upgrade script from previous versions as this is still considered a beta release.
