China, The New BroadBand Nation with 122 Million Nodes

The number of Chinese broadband users has hit 122 million, becoming the number one position in the world, According to an news article on Shanghai News report.
Sixty percent of the netizens surfed on the Internet via broadband, said Jiang Yaoping, Deputy Minister of the Information Industry, at a work conference of China Telecommunications Corporation on Saturday. Last year, more than 30 percent of China Telecom's income came from non-phone services, which translate to Internet Services, broadband services and rose from 5.5 percent in 2002, the report said. So VoIP services like Skype will get much attention as well.
One-third of the new broadband users are farmers, where the demand for the service is high, China Telecom officials said.
One way the or the other, once the other 30% decides to convert to broadband, it will be a hard target to hit, unless India also become a developing Country and it's farmers also decides to get broadband for themselves.
