iSkoot SSL Problem, Disclosure Of Skype User Names And Passwords, Has Been Fixed.

I have been following Dameon Welch-Abernathy, a.k.a. PhoneBoy's discovery of the iSkoot program disclosing Skype user names and passwords, the problem has been taken care of, and has been announced in a statement from iSkoot CEO Mark Jacobstein on their blog.

The problem was due to a development/pre-production version of the Symbian client being allowed to downloaded. Now they have pulled this version and a new fixed version will be uploaded to Symbian phone and all the users should have received it by now.

iSkoot also mentioned that all other versions, Blackberry, J2ME, Windows Mobile, etc. were not affected. So go ahead and use them. We all got to thank phoneboy for his work! unlike other people who look at it in a different light. Then again kudos for iSkoot for taking action. We all need to work together to have good products, producers and users alike.

Just keep your eyes open.
