Mark Spencer, Asterisk Creator, Presents AsteriskNOW

Although many times I have gone through the same procedure, quite a few times, it is good to see and hear Mark. Hello people it is this easy, try it out. Is this the end of TrixBox? I don't think so! My TrixBox still got a few more tricks under it's sleeves. But I think I will follow Mark sooner or later.

Follow Mark where? Digium has said that this is basically it for AsteriskNow and it is up to the open source community to add more features. Unless people jump on this bandwagon, which so far there hasn't been anyone saying they are, then I don't see where this is going. On the other hand, if the do wrap a really awesome GUI together that rivals FreePBX, then it could simply be included in trixbox along with all the other open source tools.

Well this is about AsteriskNOW. And I would rather follow Digium than Fonality.
If you have followed the recent arguments about Fonality and Digium which includes Trixbox and asterisk@home, it is hard to make a heads or tails at the moment. I am waiting for the TrixBox fork!
I would go with FreePBX any time and have been using since it came out. Bandwagon? well I will jump on what ever that provides my VoIP needs and you are welcome to do as you please as well. I think the competition is good and better product will emerge that we all will be pleased with.
Follow Mark, well we all who uses Asterisk do, since he created the Asterisk. Even if we chose any of the product Mark's work will be there, unless you create something better Kerry. I am sure anything is possible.
