iSkoot's Mobile VoIP Solution Achieves Carrier-Class Interoperability With Cisco IP Next-Generation Network (IP NGN) Architecture: "
iSkoot, the leading provider of carrier-friendly mobile VoIP solutions, today announced the successful completion of iSkoot's integration and interoperability testing with the Cisco AS5000 Series Universal Gateway and the Cisco PGW 2200 Softswitch -- a carrier-class softswitch that performs signaling and call-control tasks to interconnect next-generation IP networks to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). The iSkoot mobile software will be showcased in the Cisco booth at the 2008 Mobile World Congress. This demonstration recognizes the iSkoot and Cisco's combined solution has been already been successfully deployed by mobile operators in Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Italy, Hong Kong, and the UK, and provides for unique mobile-to-VoIP calling capabilities over the voice channel. The iSkoot mobile software will be available for hands-on demonstration at Cisco's Mobile World Congress exhibit booth #8A5, in Hall 8, from February 11-14th in Barcelona, Spain."
