My name is Siri, but you already knew that.

iOS 5, iCloud May Come On Oct 10, Followed By iPhone 5!

iOS 5, iCloud May Come On Oct 10 http://snapvoip.blogspot.com/
Continuing on with iPhone 5 rumors, the latest is that it will come a few days after October 10. This is based on some information that AppleCare personnel revealed about increased call volume on and around October 10. We can also expect iCloud to be released with iOS 5.
Traditionally Apple released the iOS or iPhone software, then a few days prior to the new device release;

In 2009, Apple publicly released version 3.0 of what was then known as "iPhone Software" on Wednesday, June 17 -- two days before the iPhone 3GS went on sale. And last year, iOS 4 became available on Monday, June 21, before the Thursday launch of the iPhone 4.

So logically, if the increased call volume to AppleCare leads to iOS 5 release to public on October 10, then the iPhone 5 will follow after a few days. If we are to believe a French Carrier, iPhone 5 will be on the shelves, on October 15th!
iOS 5 was released to developers a while ago and jailbroken iOS 5 is already in the ether.
We will wait!

iOS 5 Beta 6 Released To Developers

iOS 5 Beta 6 http://snapvoip.blogspot.com/
Today Apple released iOS 5 beta 6 to developers. The new build is available only to developers with iOS 5 beta 3 and later installed on their iPhones iPads or iPod touch devices. The update comes as an over-the-air (OTA) update.
This time there is a difference in Apple's suggestions on upgrading. it does not recommend wiping your device clean before updating to the iOS 5 beta 6, like with the iOS beta 5.
In addition iOS update, Apple also released updated iTunes 10.5 beta 6) and Xcode 4.2 preview 3.

The update brings in a whole slew of fixes and additions. BGR has a plateful of information on the subject.

iOS5 Beta Features Beginning To Shine Through

iOS5 Beta Features Beginning To Shine Through http://snapvoip.blogspot.com/
Even though we have not had time to check or test the iOS5 beta,  many others have. And those seem to very impressive, at least have impressed many Apple fans. But looking at some of the videos, we can be expected to be impressed too.
Of all the changes coming following was noted by Engadget, who were informed by multitude of it's readers;

FaceTime calls over 3G -- even though believed to only be a beta-only feature, if some carriers choose to enable, we will find a bunch of happy chatty people.
AirPlay Display Mirroring -- This allows users display video from an iPad 2 on an HDTV, via Apple TV, allowing what ever you like to watch on big screen, alone or shared.

Ability to sync 1080p video to iOS 5 devices, perhaps iPads and iPhones will have ability to use full 1080p. (Read)
* Audio Transfer Over Bluetooth, iOS5 will play your iTunes to any bluetooth device like a car radio and will transfer audio information like album, track, and artist names over as well.

Twitter Deep Inside iOS 5, Very Deep!.

Twitter Deep Inside iOS5, http://snapvoip.blogspot.com/
Looks like Apple likes Twitter, no make it Apple Loves Twitter. Looks like Apple has handed over iOS 5 kingdom twitter, as TechCrunch's MG Siegler says.
Basically Twitter connect is core part of iOS 5 and any developer who wish to utilize the twitter for social or other contacts could easily connects with the hooks already there.

“Overall the big thing for us is the combination of two big platforms, and we’re complementary to each other. Twitter from day one has been a mobile-friendly company — that was a part of Jack’s [Dorsey] original vision. So to pair up with Apple on this is a great opportunity,” has said Ryan Sarver, Twitter's head of platform.
This is too big for Twitter and what many expected facebook to accomplish has emerged from Twitter camp. Now we have to sign on again, as the single sin-on might not really work.
Head over TechCrunch to read all about the Twitter Apple friendship. I got to go to a WWDC party!

iOS 5 Jailbroken! MuscleNerd!

iOS 5 Jailbroken! http://snapvoip.blogspot.com/
Looks like it did not take much time to Jailbreak iOS5. Apple only released iOS 4.3.3 on Wednesday, the next major version of the iOS family and that will not reach general folks for a few more months. But if you are into jailbreaking iPhones and iPads and wondering if things will work out once iOS5 is released, fear not. It has already been done. iOS has been jailbroken by MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team!

The jailbreak is in early stages now but from the photos MuscleNerd released on tweetpic, it is currently running on a fourth gen iPod and you can see photos below;

Apple WWDC keynote Speech And iOS 5 Videos In The Cloud

Apple WWDC keynote iOS 5 iCloud http://snapvoip.blogspot.com/
If you did not attend the WWDC event today and still would like to watch the presentations that introduced MAC OS X Lion, iOS 5, and The iCloud, you are in luck. Apple has release the videos in to the cloud, for the moment not THE iCloud but the regular one. You might get sad seeing Steve Jobs. It was for me.

iTunes In The Cloud : iCloud

iTunes In The Cloud : iCloud http://snapvoip.blogspot.com/
iCloud is a large application that marches forward to eliminate the file system. iCloud need to be explained further to be understood better. So for now let us look at iTunes In The Cloud, a part of the iCloud.
With iTunes In The Cloud, you can have all your iTunes purchased music everywhere, meaning all your devices, iPhone, iPod, iPad, MAC, and even your PC. If you have ever purchased the song before and you do not have in one of your devices, you can re-download it too.
What if you did not buy all your music from iTunes? No Problem, Here comes Music Match. For a $25 a year, it will convert all your music to 225Kbps AAC files and let you have them across all your devices. Neat and that will be the winner.
But first we need to check out on iOS 5 and down load the Mac OS X Lion, the developer version.

Mac OS X Lion, I Like It! It Is Just $29 : WWDC 2011

Mac OS X Lion http://snapvoip.blogspot.com/

Steve Jobs apperence made most of the people stand up, I too had to stand because everybody in front of you stand up. I am sure, Steve Jobs felt really "I feel Good", The song by James Brown was playing when he entered the stage.

But the apple big honcho handed over the presentation of Mac OS X Lion to vice president

The Mac OS X presentation at the WWDC had the audience pinned and  received a large applauses as it went on describing the features of the New OS, like fullscreen apps; safari, iCal, preview, and mission control. Auto save feature for all apps etc.

I liked Mission Control  All of your open app instances are grouped by app; you can zoom into each one, selecting whichever you want.

The Mail app was awesome and Mac!

A big difference, MAC OS X Lion is only available through  Mac App Store. He is getting everybody to register, one way or the other!

Pricing was the best;

"I keep thinking: what should we charge? Past versions have been $129. We want to make it available to even more people. It'll be just $29."
Now on to iOS5

iOS 5 Preview, (Video) It Is Magical.

iOS 5 Preview http://snapvoip.blogspot.com/
While waiting to get inside the theater, I thought of sharing this iOS5 preview I found very amusing. Simon Pierro made iOS 5 and iPad even more magical!.
