AT&T iPhone Damage Control Goes Out Of Control?

AT&T iPhone Damage Control
AT&T is putting a human face in front of those draconian contracts we sign and wait for services. I have been using iPhone for for a while now and my biggest complain is about call completion. They tend to drop more calls than what they complete and there were even instance that I rang another iPhone next to me which did not ring nor displayed missed call!

But going through the comments on this video, it is not only me, there are many others! Ready to jump ship.
"I would love to get an iPhone but based on my friends experiences with AT&T i will NEVER, EVER get an iPhone until it is available on another carrier. I've never had a single problem with my Verizon service. There have been multiple times when my AT&T using friends were having crummy reception and I had full bars."
"So basically you're saying that you can't support all the people you have on your data network, yet are forcing people with smartphones to get a data plan starting this month. That makes no sense that if you can't support the current level of customers you would FORCE and increase when you just admitted you can't handle it. This is why I hate ATT because as a company they are full of shit."
"Unfortunately my love for the iPhone has forced me to stay on ATT. When the time comes for Apple to finally move onto other carriers (Verizon), I and many others will leave your sorry asses behind, and we will watch and laugh at how your company will crash and burn from the horrible loss of the iPhone revenue that you squander upon. In about 5 years time, ATT will be a ghost, because they FAILED with the iPhone. You had your chance and you showed you don't deserve it."
I could go on but follow the video and check for yourselves;  (I did try to find a comment positive towards AT&T and I stopped at page 27)

IPhone MMS Update Confirmed By AT&T, It Is All Set To Go On September 25th

http://snapvoip.blogspot.com/
AT&T posted the following message on it's facebook page, confirming our earlier report on iPhone MMS coming Next Week. So I think the Summer is not over yet! (MMS will come to iPhone in late summer, AT&T).
Here is the message in it's entirety;

An Update on iPhone MMS for our Mobility Customers
We know many of our iPhone customers are eager for an update on our rollout schedule for Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). We’ve been working for the past several months to prepare our systems and network to ensure the best possible experience with MMS when it launches – and that launch date is: September 25 for iPhone 3G and 3GS customers. MMS will be enabled through a software update on that day.
We know that iPhone users will embrace MMS. The unique capabilities and high usage of the iPhone’s multimedia capabilities required us to work on our network MMS architecture to carry the expected record volumes of MMS traffic and ensure an excellent experience from Day One. We appreciate your patience as we work toward that end.
We’re riding the leading edge of smartphone growth that’s resulted in an explosion of traffic over the AT&T network. Wireless use on our network has grown an average of 350 percent year-over-year for the past two years, and is projected to continue at a rapid pace in 2009 and beyond. The volume of smartphone data traffic the AT&T network is handling is unmatched in the wireless industry. We want you to know that we’re working relentlessly to innovate and invest in our network to anticipate this growth in usage and to stay ahead of the anticipated growth in data demand, new devices and applications for years to come.
We thank you for your business and look forward to keeping you updated on our initiatives.

iPhone Users To Get MMS Functionality, Bluetooth File Transfer Next Week

9to6Mac broke the news today that iPhone 3GS users will have MMS capabilities as of next week! I think for the most part people were disapointed that AT&T failed to deliver what AT&T promised with Apple when they advertised the new iPhone 3GS with MMS capabilities, and the virtues of such features.
All this comes with the new iPhone OS 3.1 that is to be released next month. I have not updated to their last os update as I have seen users suffer with battery drainage after the update. So I am still on iPhone OS 3.0.
I am not much into MMS but bluetooth file transfer that is also promised, is something I am looking forward to.
So everyone is looking forward to Sep 9th when Apple is opens up the iPod Event.
So if you have been wondering what iProd products from Apple are, this might be the day we find out!
