I read two posts on Latinpost regarding iPhone 6. The first is about dropping iPhone 6 and four years of Apple life for Android world, likely an HTC or Nokia ( ;) good luck on that)
The other is blaming all the faults of iPhone 6 on others like Carriers and Sapphire glass makers and Android for being there. He is sticking with the iPhone 6 like a moth to a light bulb.
They are fun reads, no matter which camp you are in as you get to learn the other.

Samsung is leading the World wide mobile phone market with having 78.1 million units shipped and Apple following with 39.3 units shipped. The new comer to the charts, Xiaomi beats Lenovo, LG and others to garner position 3 with 17.3 million units shipped.
Even though Samsung leads the market, it lost 8.2% of the market share over the year. Apple had a growth of 16.1 and again the Xiaomi is the leader in this arena with 211.3 growth over the year. Xiaomi growth is attributed to it's focus on China and adjacent markets and the company's flagship phone. MI4, released in August this year. MI4 competes with Samsung S5 and iPhone, specially in China and east Asia.
“Despite rumors of a slowing market, smartphone shipments continue to see record-setting volumes. We’ve finally reached a point where most developed markets are experiencing single-digit growth while emerging markets are still growing at more than 30 percent collectively,” said Ryan Reith, program director with IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker.

iOS vs ANDROID Usage Share Of Mobile Phones And Tablets In Europe

iOS vs Android based on web traffic infografic

This interactive presentation of Europe-wide mobile and tablet (iOS and Android) market share based on web traffic was created by 7AM Lab and presented on visua.ly.

The interactive infografic presentation of iOS and Android usage throughout Europe is zoomable and could draw a comparison between whole Europe versus a single country or country versus country. Also you can select the device, mobile phone or the tablet.

One thing I noticed was that Android usage is rising in the western Europe as far as the mobile phones and iOS is dropping at the same time. Tablet usage, iOS is strong throughout Europe. But Android is rising in that arena as well. Perhaps the iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 might make a difference.

Switch, iOS Users Guide To Switch To Android, By Google

Few years ago, we tried to switch an iPhone (iOS) account to an Android phone. It was not a happy or even close to happy event. So I was really curious about Google's "Switch", a website aim to help users of Apple iOS devices to Android. Say iPhone user frustrated with new iPhone 6 Dyegate and wan to embrace Nexus 6.
The instructions blew me away, it is so easy with the new Google+ app for iOS. Here are the instructions to move all your photos over (There is a limitation of 2048x2048 photos and videos longer than 15Min on the free storage, 15GB, provided by Google);

1. On your iPhone, download the Google+ app from the App Store.
2. Open Google+ and sign in using your Google account (i.e., your Gmail address and password).
3. Select "Auto Backup" for your photos by selecting the menu icon, followed by the gear icon at the top right. Now go to "Camera and Photos", touch "Auto Backup" and switch it on.
4. Sit back as all your photos are being saved to the cloud.
5. Open the Photos app on your new Android device to see all of your photos from your iPhone or iPad.

You can read about the photo backup here, even if you do not switch but want to have an another option to secure your photos and videos.
But that is not all, here is how you transfer your iTunes library, up to 20,000 songs. Once done, you can access your music on any device, as long as it has a web browser;

1. Make sure your iPhone or iPad is fully synced to iTunes on your computer. Your music should all be backed up on your computer when this is done.
2. Install Google Play Music Manager on your computer. Music Manager will upload your iTunes music to the cloud. You can download Music Manager here.
3. Finish setting up your Google Play account by creating a Google Wallet account.

You may say that is dandy and fine, but how about my contacts? Yes, that too is simple, here is how you bring your iCloud contacts over to Android;

1. Go to “Settings,” then “Mail, Contacts, Calendars,” then “Accounts” where you should see “iCloud” listed. Open iCloud and turn on the toggle for “Contacts” which will prompt you to “Merge” your device's contacts with iCloud.
2. In a web browser, go to apple.com/icloud, login with your Apple ID, and click on "Contacts". In the lower-left corner, click on the wheel, “Select All”. Once selected, click the wheel again and choose "Export vCard".
3. In a web browser, go to gmail.com, click on the "Mail" button in the top left and select “Contacts”. You should see a list of your Gmail contacts.
4. Now click the "More" button above the contacts list and select "Import". Select "Choose File" and select your saved vCard file. When importing is complete, Gmail will display the number of contacts imported.
5. Finally, delete any duplicates by using the “Find & merge duplicates” function under the "More" button above the contacts list.

There are many more information on the Google's Switch website. It is said that there is a website by Apple telling how to switch from Android, I will try to find it as well.

Remember those plastic strips that we were talking about in the iPhone 6 that supposed to provide better reception? Yes they seem to do more than that, they also absorbs colors from your Jeans So the edges and the strips become shades of indigo.
People have told BGR, that when contacted Apple support, they were told to rub various cleaning liquid but when that failed, MUM, no solution offered.
