Pixel 3a: An Affordable Premium Phone by Google With Many More Carriers Offering the New Pixel.

The definition and expectation of a smartphone has come long way. People expect much more than just phone from a smartphone. As much as the need for dialing out and receiving calls, messages and video calls, the next thing people look for is a camera, not just a imager but   premium camera that can take vivid, masterpieces of photos anytime anywhere under varying lighting conditions. Then the capability to run all those apps ranging from day to day needs, work tools and tada, games. Im my case, be a part, a major part of controlling and managing my drones and Virtual Reality.  With all these we need a phone that has a battery that’s reliable for long stretches, from beginning to the end of the day and does not take too long to charge. Next most important part is that, it would be great if the phone does not break the bank. The new Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are bringing together all these at a price point lining up with half the price of other premium phones, if you are comparing to Apples, the one third of the price.

Pixel 3a is designed to fit nicely in your hand, and includes an OLED display for crisp images and bright colors. It comes in three colors—Just Black, Clearly White, Purple-ish—and two sizes, with prices in the U.S. starting at $399 for the 5.6-inch display and $479 for the 6-inch model.
But there is more, Google is expanding its Pixel phone distribution to more carriers this year, ending the exclusivity period with Verizon it had earlier.
Google is launching its new Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL phones with T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon, in unlocked form. The Pixel phones are also available on U.S. Cellular and C Spire.

As for the careers, Sprint is offering the new 3a and 3a XL for $100 off with an 18 month lease,  T-Mobile is offering up to $400 off Pixel phones when existing customers trade in an eligible device. U.S. Cellular is offering the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL for half off to new and existing customers. Verizon is offering $100 off the Pixel phones if customers add a new line, or $50 off if customers upgrade an existing line.
If you want to try Google Fi, Get $100 in Google Fi credit when you buy and activate on Fi. Plus, get even more Fi credits or a credit card refund when you trade in an eligible phone. Terms apply.

Google FI Brings Richer messaging with RCS In Messages App

RCS_Gif

With RCS in Messages, Your messaging takes an entirely new path. With RCS supported messaging, you can do more and share more when you interact with friends, family members, groups, and even businesses or anyone who has RCS supported messaging at the other end.
You’ll be able to see typing indicators and read receipts, share high-resolution videos, and message over Wi-Fi or data with others that have RCS enabled.
If you phone is designed for Google Fi, RCS will be automatically enabled. RCS will be available on phones designed for Fi and compatible Android phones.  But if you’re on a Google FI compatible Android phone, you’ll need to have Messages as your default messaging app. If you do not have the app you can get it from here,  Messages. (Google Play link) Once the app is ready, you’ll see some simple prompts to enable RCS.

Project Fi is Now Google Fi and reaches in to iPhones.

Snapvoip

After 3 years since the start of the Project FI, Google is setting it's mark in the Mobile arena with the newly named Google FI.
Even though one could get a data-only SIM for iPads as secondary devices before. A Fi SIM has always worked in an iPhone too but one had to adjust the data settings on the phone.
Now Google is supporting  new iPhone customers directly, through a beta program and requires “a few extra steps to get set up.” There is also this Google Fi iOS app to help the process along.

Google Fi is a “mobile virtual network operator.” or MVNO, which means that your actual service comes from a few carriers; Fi uses T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular as its backbone. However one needs a phone like the Pixels and others that Google sells) are capable of dynamically switching between these networks. Like before, phones that aren’t explicitly “designed for Fi” are stuck on T-Mobile’s network. So any iPhone user will be stuck in the T-Mobile. Project FI
