Apple has mentioned increased "air freight" costs that are not related to iPhones in their 3rd quarter financials call,
“The air freight is not related to the iPhone so these are unrelated topics. But, generally speaking the air freight is planned to get enough units in to the channel in time for the holidays and is necessary for that reason.”If it is not about iPhones, I wonder if Apple is planing to go against the norm and offer Apple Tablet for the holiday season. It also could be simply that by holiday season, Apple might be offering the iPhone 3GS in more markets.

Gizmodo's Brian Lam even said swear words over this in his latest post about the confirmation of Apple's tablet computer. The swearing was about AT&T dropping the call that was confiming the existanse and the arrival of the Apple Tablet, Tabla Rasa, I will call it for now as he keeps the code name for the project secret.

Chinese News paper Apple Daily in Taiwan has published (also carried by Dow Jones) that Apple Tablet will be manufactured by Hon HAi Precision Industry Co. (Aka FoxConn, Aka iKiller) and that we might see the tablet, aka 10" iPhone, as early as September this year.
They also reported that Wintek Corp. would supply flat panel screens for the device and that its battery would be built by Dynapack International Technology Corp.
AppleInsider thinks that the report related to Hon Hai may instead reflect the upcoming third generation iPod touch, which could easily be described as a "tablet computer" and is expected to arrive in the September iPod refresh as both previous new generations.
I hope Apple come out and tell us about these stuff, rather than doing AT&Ts bidding, like blocking Google Voice.

Very descriptive and fact filled article on Appleinsider informs us that Apple will be releasing it's answer to mini notebook, netbook, market with a tablet.
The Tablet seem to be selling for the current iPhone 16GB self price ($699) and most likely be a souped up and larger iPod Touch.
"Between indications from our component contacts in Asia, recent patents relating to multi-touch sensitivity for more complex computing devices, comments from [chief operating officer] Tim Cook on the April 22nd conference call, and Apple's acquisition of P.A. Semi along with other recent chip-related hires, it is increasingly clear that Apple is investing more in its mobile computing franchise," analyst Gene Munster and his team wrote.
"More specifically, the analyst said these investments will likely culminate with the launch of a touch-screen tablet with a display somewhere between 7- and 10-inches at a special event sometime in the first half of 2010. Such a move, he added, would be consistent with management's comments that Cupertino-based company has no interest in catering to the existing segment for "cheap" miniaturized notebooks and its spoken desire to differentiate in a market currently dominated by cramped computers with razor thin margins and a subpar user experience."
They also mentioned that the product might come to the market somewhere in 2010.
