I use a MiFi device to tether my WiFi only devices when I am out of the range. For the life of device, which is like 6 months now, I had only once connected the MiFi to five people. It was painfully slow but as we all were waiting for important emails, we had to share. At all other times, I have had no more than two devices at a time.

So the iOS limitation of iPhone, iPad 2 tethering will not bother me much should I go in the Apple's direction. (Only for iPad 2 as I have decided to drop my iPhone and take on an Android phone for my next phone.) The decision on iPad 2 is purely price. I also know how Apple operates. I have not had much experience with Motorola other than a simple phone a few years ago. So I do not know how Motorola will tread it's tablet customers and the XOOM it self. But if they price the Motorola XOOM right, I will still go that way. Let us see.

The three device limitation is not from AT&T but actually a limitation of iOS 4.3 so it might be a limit on Verizon as well, we will have to wait and see;

But again If you are planing to do any heavy handed data exchange work, better think about mobile data plans (As I write Diordna is writing a post on Verizon /AT&T data plan comparison, we don't want you to pay at the rate of $60 a GB (as with AT&T.$15/250MB)

If you have Any of these Apps;

1. Open the Google Android Menu.
2. Go to the Settings icon and select Applications.
3. Next, click Manage.

Also check  com.android.providers.downloadsmanager (DownloadManageService) in the “running services“ settings of the phone, as shown in the screenshot below.(Symantec)

The breach was first discovered by a Reddit user Lompolo, when discovered that the developer of one of the malicious applications, “Myournet.”  had posted pirated versions of legitimate apps under his name. Lompolo analyzed two suspicious applications and found that they contain exploit code "rageagainstthecage" root exploit - binary contains string "CVE-2010-EASY Android local root exploit (C) 2010 by 743C" ("rageagainstthecage",  is a tool commonly used to root the phone. In legitimate circumstances, ). A blogger at Android Police took a closer look at the malicious applications and verified that they do indeed contain exploit code that can root a user’s device as well code that  can send sensitive information (IMEI and IMSI) from the phone to a remote server.  Android Police also found that there is another APK, hidden as assets/sqlite.db, "DownloadProvidersManager.apk" hidden inside the code, which can steal additional sensitive data.

The Lookout Security Team identified a large number of additional Apps released under the developer names “Kingmall2010″, “we20090202″, and  “Myournet” contain DroidDream and have been suspended from the official Android Market.
My question is the time it took to control these apps, the way how people and developers can contact Google. According to Lompolo;

"Yes, thank you, I was aware of it. I have been trying for more than a week now to get Google to do something about it. I've contacted them through every avenue I could think of, but haven't had a response yet...until today. It seems the developer and all his apps have been removed from the market"

There has to be better way of notifying security issues. The security firm finally managed to contact the Google and get the apps off the market.

In any case, if you have downloaded any of these apps, remove them immediately, if they are not removed already.

Motorola XOOM, Are you going to ask me for $799? Since iPad2 has taken you fair and square? I think I am pretty happy with iPad2, even though I do not like Apple policies. Hardware wise it has come ways and like second version of anything Apple, iPad2 shines.
So Motorola, only way you can get me to buy you product is by, dropping the price and releasing a WiFi only version!

Like the rest of us finding innovative ways to use Skype to reach into the near and far corners of the country, world, teachers across the world use Skype to take their students to places . They use it to bring experts, authors, and guest instructors into the classroom, those who would never otherwise be able to visit the school. Students can take virtual field trips, if you will, via Skype as they're connected to places through video chat. A Skype communication session can involve foreign language learning or a cultural exchange. It can connect classrooms across the city, state, country or around the world and bring an expert on any subject in front of the class. This would have been impossible without an aid of a tool like Skype.
Now SKype has taken a step forward and created Skype in the classroom (beta); 

Skype in the classroom brings together a community of people and information to save teachers time and help them make the most of Skype and the international teaching community.
Teachers create a profile that sets out their interests, specialities and location. They can then browse through the community to look for teachers who can offer them help, or whom they might be able to help. Once teachers find someone they’d like to connect with, they can add that person as a Skype contact, or share Skype-related teaching resources.
Skype in the classroom is in beta, which means it is still being developed and refined. We are very open to feedback as to how we can improve it, so please share your comments and ideas using the Feedback tab on the left of the page.
