TELUS is Working hard to Bring Back the Wireless Service to the parts of Mackenzie County affected by the Chuckegg Creek wildfire


TELUS lost some infrastructure services after the Chuckegg Creek wildfire in the Mackenzie County. TELUS mostly lost power to it's infrastructure including communication towers. Crews are already working in the safe area and for the unsafe areas as of now, the crews are standing by to start work as the conditions permit.

TELUS working to restore service to parts of Mackenzie County following outages caused by wildfire

EDMONTON, Alberta, May 20, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TELUS is working to restore wireless service to parts of Mackenzie County after the Chuckegg Creek wildfire caused power outages that affected TELUS infrastructure. TELUS crews have been dispatched to the area and are actively working to keep services online and restore the outages. For areas that are currently not safe to access, TELUS crews are standing by and will begin working to fully restore services as quickly as possible.

Crews will be working around the clock, though at this time there is no estimated time of restoral as it is largely dependent on restoration of commercial power.
