Yes that is a bluetooth headset pretending to be a ring. Now you can give a ring to someone and if things turns sour, can get away saying it was only a bluetooth headset!

The Orb, developped by Hybra Advance Technology Inc. and AbsolutelyNew Inc., morphs into a Bluetooth headset from a ring on your finger with a simple twist. eventhough it does not seem to be going inside your ear, the NXT technology incorporated into the Orb provides high quality bone conduction audio. An upcoming Deluxe edition also features a Flexible Organic Light Emitting Device (FOLED) screen to display caller ID, calendar reminders, and voice-to-text information for communication without taking the ring off the finger.

The Orb will be wearable by most as it is availabile in standard ring sizes. In worst case, you can wear it like a pendant! And those who like shiny stuff will be happy with, a limited edition designer model featuring decorative gemstones.

The base model Orb Bluetooth headset is scheduled to launch in January 2010 carrying a suggested retail price of USD$129. The Deluxe edition will cost USD$175 and is due in April 2010. The Limited edition bling models are also due in April 2010. The price will be based on your choice of Gemstones.
