Rip, Mix Burn is burned out, iTunes is tuning away
Apple introduced iTunes in January 2001, a digital jukebox of sorts. It allowed you to store all your songs on your computer in one place.
Now it is taking it away and let individual apps like standalone music, television and podcast apps, take care of the tasks.
You can call it is an end of a music era. Nearly two decades after launching iTunes and shuttering up the store front model of music sales, According to Bloomberg, Apple is planing to retire the iconic product, and may announce it at its annual World Wide Developers Conference in San Jose, California next Monday.
