TMCnet's Associate editor, Mae Kowalke, has written a mini guide for SMB in acquiring and maintaining VoIP systems.
As choosing VoIP services and installing and maintaining an Internet Protocol (IP)-based communications network can be a confusing and time-consuming endeavor. To help give SMBs a leg up, VoIP telephony solutions provider Allworx created a whitepaper that serves as a tutorial for deploying and maintaining digital phones on a VoIP network.

The whitepaper’s author is Jeffrey Szczepanski, Chief Technical Officer at InSciTek Microsystems, Inc., Allworx’s parent company. Szczepanski wrote the paper specifically for administrators, installers and network planners. Here, TMCnet provides an overview.
