Google has announced that the unlocked Google Nexus One (Google Droid) is available to registered developers for $529.00
The Nexus One phone comes with Android 2.2 (Froyo) on modern hardware. Developers could use either SDK, NDK to develop applications for the Android platform. Other than being a developer platform for Android arena, Nexus One could also be used as a regular smartphone.
Nexus one accessories are available, either from HTC's European online store. or the HTC US store
