Apple iPOD fans gets a new iPod touch with A10 chip, 256GB of storage and more


After a very long hiatus, in terms of electronics world, Apple is releasing a new iPod.
Apple  announced on Tuesday a new version of the iPod, with Apple's A10 Fusion chip on board supporting augmented reality (AR) and Group FaceTime.
The last time Apple iPod got an update was in 2015 July.
With these changes, Apple's portable music player has gotten a much needed update, its first since July 2015.
Apple has not ventured far from the previous generation of iPod, home button, bezels and all are intact and in the same way. The device comes with a 4-inch Retina display, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front camera just like in the previous generation of the iPod. With iOS 12, it supports SIRI, and all the regular Apple Apps.
In addition to VR and Facetime, the iPod touch will support Apple's game subscription service, Apple Arcade, when it launches this fall. People with huge music collections would love the 256GB capacity.
The new iPod touch with 32GB of storage costs $199. The next storage size 128GB skipping the 64GB varient, will set you back $299, while the 256GB version costs $399. It's available in six colors: Space Gray, Gold, Silver, Pink, Blue and Red.

The iPod touch is available now from Apple.com and in the Apple Store app in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the UAE, UK and U.S.
