CableVision Wireless In New York!, Bring Your iPhone.

WiMAX must be the ting that these telecom corporations and cable companies knew about and feared that consumers will get to know about. Now that the cat is out with WiMAX Bigbang everyone is looking for a piece of the cake.
After Sprint Nextel Corp. and Clearwire Corp., a start-up backed by cellphone pioneer Craig McCaw got backing from big-name partners including cable-TV giants Comcast Corp, Time Warner Cable Inc., Internet giant Google Inc. and chip maker Intel Corp everyone wants a WiMAX or Wireless Network!.
Today Cablevision Systems Corp said that it plans to spend $350 million to build a wireless broadband network to serve its subscribers in the New York area. Chief Operating Officer Tom Rutledge said the new network, which will be completed within the next two years, will be accessible via Wi-Fi-enabled portable devices such as iPhones and laptops."Ultimately it will be a mobile voice-capable network," said Rutledge.

I would love to hear the plans from AT&T and Verizon.
