Skype Doomed?

That is what a commentator at The Register's post about Josh Silverman, current CEO of eBay price comparison tentacle Shopping.com, will take Skype over on 24 March. Ebay is hoping Silverman can do something to justify its multi-billion dollar purchase of skype, Which is now a very crowded profitless pit.

Josh Silverman, wrote: "Skype is one of the defining internet technologies of our era... it's changing the world. You don't look forward to something like that. You drop what you're doing and jump aboard."

But I prefer the Registers definition of Skype, "Skype certainly is one of the defining internet technologies of our era. It was over-hyped, overvalued and has no discernable business plan, other than to recruit more free users."

One of my humble ideas, SIP enable your Skype and sell your coonectios to whom ever in need.
